Awards and Recognitions

Braden Mitchell was picked as Coach of the Year after leading the Evergreens to the conference title with a 6-1 record (6-4 overall), and a WIAA playoff berth.

Mitchell replaced Strehlow in 2024 after being the quarterback coach. Mitchell is a match teacher for the DC Everest district. He and his family moved to central Wisconsin from Layton, Utah in 2020 where he took the offensive coordinator position at SPASH, before becoming the quarterback's coach at UWSP for one season.

He joined the DCE staff as an assistant in 2023. He shared his excitement to take over a program that is already moving in the right direction.
